The principles
The Easy Flow solution is a selective detection system using microwave technology for traffic light priority and access control, for public transportation or private vehicle fleets in urban environments.
The technology is based on a 24 GHz directional microwave link, enabling long-distance communication between an onboard transmitter and a fixed receiver :
- The transmitter, installed on a vehicle, sends a radio code, which is detected by the receiver mounted on the traffic signal.
- Upon receiving the code, the receiver switches an output and transmits the information to the traffic light controller.
This traffic light priority system allows :
- Excellent wireless communication between the on board transmitter and the receiver on the traffic light controller
- Transmission from one to several command orders (e.g., right, middle, left) using different codes
- Long distance detection (300m in urban areas). This is a visual transmission with and adjustable range via Cap’Mobile
