For which application ?
The APX gateway performs the following tasks within a Sensys system :
- Maintains bidirectional communication with sensors and repeaters.
- Handles message acknowledgements to ensure robust communication.
- Synchronizes all connected devices.
- Sends configuration commands to all components.
- Collects all sensor-generated events and builds traffic data.
The gateway runs on a Linux-based operating system and features ultra-low power consumption, making it compatible with power supplied from a solar panel or public streetlight infrastructure.
The principles
The APX gateway is an indoor DIN rail-mounted device connected to one or two SPP antennas.
